Thank You Green EK
Posted in Uncategorized with tags EK, green, Regamaster, Spoon on June 7, 2011 by ekhatchFor 3 crazy years she served as Hatch Life’s banner, and it’s probably been at least that long since I’ve seen her posted anywhere so if you know where she is give me a shout.
oh and if you guys want the old banner back, just let me know, it is kinda weird coming here and not seeing the green car lol
Did I Really Just See That?
Posted in Uncategorized on June 6, 2011 by ekhatchSo I’m laying on couch, watching SPEED, feeling good, and this Optima Batteries commercial comes on and makes me do a YouTube double take. I’m pretty impressed by this, they treat the “import scene” with respect and in a somewhat contemporary fashion. I don’t think I remember the last time I saw that in mainstream media.
Original Owner
Posted in Uncategorized with tags EK, EK4, Mugen, original owner, SiR, VSM on June 1, 2011 by ekhatchIt’s always hard for me to think of EKs as “old”, but we live in such a disposable culture people just don’t hold on to cars like they used to. Especially not A to B econoboxes like Civic hatch backs. The fact is even EKs are starting to get up there in age and finding an original owner car can be difficult, just finding a truly clean unmodified one in the midwest can be frustrating. All this adds up to my mind being blown when I read that this is an original owner car, seriously how many OG hatches modified in such a thoughtful, tasteful and dare I say timeless manner can there really be out there? This car symbolizes “Hatch Life” more than any other car I’ve had on here I think, this dude doesn’t see his hatch as a stepping stone to his next project, he’s not just playing around with a hatch because they’re cheap and trendy, he’s living the Hatch Life.
talk dirty to me
