Volvo C30

It was pretty brave of Volvo to bring a premium hatch to the US. I love them, but apparently I’m one of the few that feel that way. I pass a Volvo dealer everyday on the way to work and I’ve seen the same 5 C30s on the front line there for about 2 months now. I hardly ever see one in normal traffic around town and forget about seeing a modified one. Unfortunately it seems americans still equate hatches with cheap boring transportation. The C30 isn’t quite as quick as the new GTI and doesn’t have the character of the Mini, but it’s my pick of the bunch for it’s uniqueness and somewhat rarity.

Outta Control

This EK has everything under the sun going for it, super clean body and paint, uber sexy wheels, offset and stance, nicely tucked K swap, and ballin outta control interior. It’s straight fire but manages to remain subtle and still stand out from the EK crowd at the same time, someone had a real vision when putting this car together and it shows.

It’s back

This um….EG turns up on the local Craigslist once or twice a year, it’s been doing this for about 3 maybe 4 years now. It certainly is something to behold, believe it or not all the body “modifications” are all hand formed steel, despite the appearance that someone went on a drunken binge with 50 gallons of bondo. It turned up again this week and gave me a chuckle. View the Craigslist post here

2010 Civic hatch …maybe

It’s far from official but these pix of the supposed 2010 Civic hatch are floating around, said to be powered by a 1.5L IMA hybrid motor worth 150hp with a 2.0L i-VTEC Type R to follow. Personally I love it, I’d rock one all day long, but I’m not sure I like it as much as the CRZ. I guess we’ll see, the US probably won’t get the hatch version anyway.

and my number one pick for Nisei, this green Accord wagon. An EVO with every part in the ARC and Voltex catalog thrown at it will never have the character and that magic X factor of cool that this hooptie has imo. Stance, offset and more stance!

Renault Megane R26 R in white

When you log into WordPress one of the first things you see are your blog stats, mine are usually pretty pathetic but what always amazes me is the top post, and by a huge margin, was the Magane R26 R post. I have no idea why, other than it’s just a badass little car. Anyway, yada yada, I recently came across pix of it in white and it looks even more badass than ever. Except for the upper portion of the C pillar it kind of has the look of a Champ White CTR on red Gabs, well if you squint, or if you’re drunk. The US is way too lame to get this car.
