So I’m driving to Chipotle today and see a fairly clean red EG hatch in traffic, he ends up behind me at a light and I’m like WTF? It’s got an EK front end on it. Good lord, I had seen a few pix of this conversion but never in person before. Now I suppose if you just happen to have half an EG, half an EK, a welder, and no bus tokens this would be somewhat acceptable but no thanks. EGs look great, EKs look great, put em together and something bad happens.
So where to start? I guess with what has become the most recognizable EK hatch going, the iconic Championship White JDM Civic Type R, the true EK9. Such a fun and in my opinion timeless little car, it’s what every humble american hatch aspires to someday be. It’s clean and simple factory tweaked cars like this that have helped push the JDM movement to the forefront of the current import tuning trends.
In a never ending attempt to cure my boredom I’ve decided to start a blog! There won’t be much about me here but there will be plenty of car porn for you to kill time at work with. In case you haven’t figured it out yet the focus will be my EK hatch fetish, but I’m sure I’ll also be posting about the things that occasionally distract me from Civics.
