Silver EGs. There just doesn’t seem to be that many rolling around, but silver really suits them imo. I think it might have been available from the factory in Europe, not sure about that though and way too lazy to do the research.

Yea, you’ve seen this car here before but it’s back for two reasons; 1. it’s always evolving and 2. I love it. People on HT don’t seem to give it the respect it deserves, there are so many one off custom fabbed bits on this car and people seem to be such brand whores these days it’s like they don’t get it. I like everything about it, especially the current set of wheels and color scheme.

Aaron’s chop top/panel van/50’s Kustom inspired xB was out rolling around as it nears completion and he was cool enough to send some pix. I can’t say enough about how in love I am with that hood ornament, and the new seats look as comfy as grandma’s couch, they definately have a kind of 70’s Cadillac swagger to me.

You guys are too much, thanks for all the kind words in the comments on that last post. Sometimes life and everything that goes along with it just comes at you so fast somethings gotta give ya know. I’m not retired, but I am going to maybe change things up a little, we’ll see how it goes, the highest number of hits in one day Hatch life has ever gotten came right in the middle of my week long hiatus so maybe just not posting anything at all is the key lol. The ultimate expression of not following trends; the anti blog where nothing is ever posted!

I Knew I Was Forgetting Something

I’ve got a blog! Sometimes life just gets in the way you know. Huge upheavals at work, pending unemployment at the end of the month, pounding the pavement with my resume, and of course the unavoidable depression that goes with it. Time has not been on my side recently. To be honest I’ve been thinking Hatch Life needs a reboot anyway, to me it’s gotten kind of stale and predictable lately. Maybe fewer, more high quality posts are the answer, it’s just really hard coming up with original content living in Cowtown, Ohio, especially over the last couple of snow covered months. Plus a lot of great blogs have come on line over the past year that put mine to shame, feeling a bit uninspired these days, like I’m probably not the best guy for the job. Gonna take a little time, try to get my act together and come back better than ever. Part of me feels like it lacks a purpose now that we’ve played such a huge part in getting Melissa her surgery resulting in her current remission? Been thinking about selling both hatches to try to get into a CR-Z too, depends on how this employment thing works out. Long story short; I’m at a bit of a cross roads in my life and the blog has suffered, and I apologize to all my great supporters and the wonderful friends I’ve made through it. Now that spring is here hopefully things will pick up here soon. Don’t give up on me, I just need a little slack right now. I love you guys!

In the meantime check this out, usually the term “barn find” is reserved for split window Corvettes, hemi Cudas, and the like, but this one is a little different yet just as special.
