I didn’t need another reason to want a Fit, but the internet gave me one anyway

Bear with me here, I’m about to go off on a weird and potentially very unpopular tangent here. Remember those clear hoods that were popular for a minute back when the first Fast&Furious came out?

Yea they’ve become one of those almost forgotten trends that just scream rice. But could they just have been a little before their time? In the last 2 years shaved, tucked engine bays often with beautifully painted contrasting paint work and valve covers have really gone mainstream, almost expected in some cases. Could this be an environment where a clear hood would make more sense? Is it one of those things that the right car at the the right time could pull off today? Have you even tried to find one of them lately?

I can’t wait to see a CRZ in person, I know I’m going to end up wanting one so bad I’ll be shopping one of my kidneys around to black market organ traffickers. All the renders and concepts I’ve seen have been white, I want to see it in black, I bet it would really smooth out the rear glass and mouth. Set it down on some bronze MF10s….shyeeiiit

Slowly but surely, little by little some bosozoku styling ques are finding thier way onto Hondas. I haven’t seen anyone go all out yet, but like watching a young tree grow, some Hondas are sprouting little bosozoku buds here and there. Personally I’m all for it and would like to see a full grown ripe one. Like any bergeoning style/trend there are bound to be some missteps along the way before someone really nails it, but it’s all part of the process. The white EF looks great with the oil cooler hung out front, the black EG is a little rough but the pipe is a step in the right direction.

Japanese Nostalgic hipped me to the fact that The Smithsonian has a 1977 Honda Civic in their collection. First car to ever meet the Clean Air Act requirements without a catalytic converter. The more you know!

Thanks to the orders received so far YOU have made it possible for Melissa to make the needed down payment to see the oncologist to get her biopsy, blood work, and full scan. Even though the results of the biopsy were quite bad, The Melissa Project has lifted her spirits and inspired such hope in her it’s absolutely priceless.

The Hatch Life bumper stickers arrived today and they came out better than expected. I have ones set aside for Slappy, Brian, Karsten and Duke, even if you guys don’t wish to donate I want to send you one for always being such great supporters of the site.
