Never Seen This Before
If you have a stock D16Y7 and have tried to install a front strut tower bar you know the supid intake manifold design with the top mount throttle body and the air box ruin the whole operation. I’m not sure who makes this bar, it’s the only one like it I’ve ever some across, but it bends up and around out of the way of the factory air box on this european D15(?) EG, might even do the trick on D16Y7 EKs.

carbed eg……..wow was this a mod? going back in fuel delivery time is the new trend? remove FI and find an old carb setup?

I think if you had read the post completely, you would understand that the strut brace was the mod in discussion.
I think that this is just a top mount throttle body, as opposed to a carb, but i wouldn’t be surprised if it was.
It used to be common for manufactures to fit carbs on their poverty spec models to bring costs down.
The strut brace itself looks like it’s a model off another car that has been bent to avoid the airbox

I think it’s a SPARCO bar (red color in EU it’s 95% chance to be a Sparco and it’s a EU EG (Deutschland / Allemagne)
