Blown D

With K series swaps becoming so common they’re almost expected and even the jankiest hatches with Bs under the hood it’s refreshing to see a really nice build like this with a supercharged D. Car’s quite a stunner too, not sure where that rear diffuser was sourced from but I’m feelin’ it. NSX maybe?

Too much of a good thing? 2 X bars, a C pillar bar and I think 3 strut tower bars. If her ass ain’t stiff enough yet, it ain’t gonna happen.

I can completely understand wanting to ditch the D as the first mod to any Civic, and I love swaps just as much as the next guy, but when it comes to my personal cars I like Ds, I’m not hell bent on going as fast as possible. It’s more interesting and in a weird way to me more pure to extract as much as you can from what the car originally came with. I like a lot of the originality in this one such as the rear canards and the choice to go supercharged rather than turbo. In fact it’s been a bit of an inspiration to me, there’s a supercharger on the local Craigslist and since seeing this car It’s got me looking around my house to see what I can sell to snag it. Turbo Ds are everywhere, and I have nothing but respect for them, they are capable of much more power than a SC, but the fact that you don’t see many SCed Ds is what makes it more appealing to me for my personal car.
